Five months: new tricks!

Elijah has grown so much this month. He is weighing in at 15lbs, he is 25 inches (this might not be the most accurate measurement.... it was done at home... by myself.... with a wiggling baby. He as grown the most developmentally this month though. He can easily sit up with a prop behind him.

He is getting really strong arms and flips from his belly to his back no problem... he can get about half way from his back to his side but is still mastering flipping all the way over.

He found his foot!!! I say his foot and not his feet because he seems to have a preference for this left foot. Daddy thinks this means he is left handed.... I am wondering if it doesn't have more to do with his right eye being the lazy one... but we'll let daddy continue his dreams of a left handed quarterback.

This is the position we find him in most mornings waking up:).

He LOVES standing. Most of the time when you pick him up in your lap he doesn't want to sit he wants you to hold him up standing in your lap. He has strong little chubby legs :).

Sweet pose for the camera.

He can sit up for the most part... he still tumbles to one side or the other after a few minutes but he is getting much stronger balance.

And this picture was too freakin hilarious to leave out. Oh crossed eye... you make for some funny baby pictures. :).
Sleep wise Eli is sleeping from 8pm to 7 am. I feed him once before I go to bed and he sleeps through the night. He is still struggling a bit with his daytime naps, usually he takes a good morning nap for about two hours and then his afternoon nap is only an hour. He always wakes up screaming and with his hands in his mouth from his naps so am wondering if teething isn't the cause of our recently poor napper. We'll see if any teethers pop through. We are still working on the rice cereal though he does seem to be swallowing more and more each time we try, and definately less temper tantrums when we try. He eats five to six times a day from momma about every three to four hours.
He has been such a fun little booger this month. I love being his momma.
