Eli 20 months

It snowed this last week and Eli LOVES the snow! He must have his daddy's cold weather loving genes because he will cry and cry when momma says it is time to come inside because Eli's glasses or "shashes" as he calls them are all fogged up and his cheeks are bright red. When I told him it was time to come inside he cried, "No!!!!! I go-go (which is what he calls sledding) OUTSIDE!"

 "ONE....Two...Three....GO-GO!!!

A couple of stories I wanted to write on the blog so that someday I can use as blackmail :).
A few weeks back Dave took Eli with him as he was Christmas shopping for me at a department store. They happend to be walking past the womens lingerie department and Eli started yelling loud enough for anyone in earshot to hear "BOOBIES!!! BOOBIES daddy!!! BOOBIES!!!". Dave was mortified for obvious reasons as several women walking past were chuckling.  What can we say. The kid has a little brother who is nursing. He knows a BOOBIE when he sees one.

Just this last week Dave took Eli to the grocery store where he will only go in if he can ride in the "beep-beep" which is the cart with the car on the front of it. So Eli was in the car happily beeping through the aisles. Dave turned up one aisle and a woman was laughing out loud at Eli. Dave thought he must be doing some cute thing so he looked around only to find Eli sound asleep with his forehead on the horn of the "beep-beep".  Falling asleep at the wheel already!

And daily when it is time to feed the doggies Eli will in a very authoritative tone say, "Booma Baisy SHIT! Wait...... OK!" Translation Sit wait ok. Although telling the dogs to Shit would be equally as hilarious. I have a hard time not laughing out loud when he does it. But he is so proud of himself when they listen.

Elijah is growing and growing!! I'm not sure how though because this picture might be the one piece of food he ate all week last week!!! The kid goes on food strikes quite often. But I guess he will eat when he is hungry. He has a few favorites of course. He loves to have a "moothie" or smoothing with blueberries in the mornings. Anything served on a paper plate is PITZI! He loves "dilla's" or quesidillas. And of course COOKIES!!! (really anything sweet is a cookie). He also still loves to have bapples as a snack.
His vocabulary is amazing. I swear the kid will repeat and then use correctly just about any word we tell him to say. A genius from an early age I guess :).
He LOVES his little brother. Jude's nick name is Juder-bear and Eli has been calling him bear :) To sweet. He loves to give the baby a kiss and also loves to "help" burp the baby... sorry for those extra hard whacks to the back Juder!!
He is still a champion sleeper. Goes to bed around 7-730 and sleeps till 7 am. Then usually takes about a 2.5 to 3 hour nap in the afternoon!!
He LOVES when Daddy comes home from work and when he hears the garage door open he will look at me and say, "What that noise? Daddy HOME??" Daddy where R ooooo?" It is the best. Dave does this silly thing with Eli where he rolls him up in a blanket and pulls the blanket out and Eli spins out. Eli calls this the "rito" for burrito. It is so sweet to see Dave with his sons. He is truly the best daddy ever.
