Booo on bedrest

Well after another long weekend on the phone with the doctor with pregnancy turbulence I've won myself two weeks of bedrest. For those of you who know me.... I'M GOING TO GO CRAZY!!! But in a situation where I feel very out of control being on bedrest at least makes me feel like there is something I am doing for the baby. Ultrasound this morning showed a healthy baby with a healthy heart beat, 167 beats per minute.

Speaking of heart beats does anyone know that wives tale that high heart rates mean something and low heart rates mean something about the sex of the baby???? I'd love to hear guesses!

Dave and I decided on the nursery this week! Because we are not going to find out the sex of the baby we decided to do something that both of us love and that is pretty gender neutral................ a Buckeyes theme! (Matt Uher is not allowed in the nursery). I found a buckeyes mobile that plays a lulliby version of the fight song and we are going to paint the walls grey with a red boarder with the words to carmen ohio in it!!

So I guess two weeks of knitting, watching movies, and reading books, eating dinners that my loving husband throws together and planning the nursery will be just what the doctor ordered.

OH YES I know that wives tale:) Girls usually have higher heart rates than boys:) Our little ones heart rate was 180 bpm at our first ultrasound! And sure enough...we're having a girl! Now she runs like 140's-150's.

I heard high is a girl, low is a boy. That was true for Henry, so based on that very scientific information, you are have a Baby Seeling-ess. Or should we call her Brut-ess?
And Matt and I are big fans of your nursery theme! There are a lot of fun things you can make with buckeyes (frames, lampshades, etc.) - just another idea of a project for you while you are on bed rest.
Oh, and we gave in-utero Henry a Buckeye name, Woody! Is that weird, that we gave him an in-utero name and a real name? We're weird like that.

Aw, girl, do you need me to bring you some food? I can! Please let me know, I'd be happy to. And also let me know if you need anything else...I am home with Parker all day so I can be there to do whatever you need!

See, Parker's was always bouncing between low to high, so I am not good...he maintained about 150ish a lot of the time, but he had also gotten up to 160 at times too. But I always heard low boy, high girl, in my case though...it was the opposite...I know helpful right?!

So, high heartrates are supposed to indicate a girl and low for a boy...but both of our girls had low heartrates (150-160's). But I am still guessing a boy! The chinese lunar calendar is on your side ;) Let me know when you want me and the girls to bring you dinner!
